The wearaboutz™ privacy document sets out our policy regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information, as well as the corporate confidentiality and practices of wearaboutz™ Ltd and all of it’s subsidiaries including www.wearaboutz.com, www.mywearaboutz.com, all our Location Based Services and lone worker corporate platforms.

As we continue to grow our business and services we reserve the right to amend this policy where necessary.

By accessing wearaboutz™ online or by using any of our Location Based Services, you consent to our privacy procedures and agree to our policies.   

Use of Personal Information

The information wearaboutz™ Ltd collects during the registration procedure is solely used to identify individuals and register them as users of our products and services.
Wearaboutz Ltd does not sell or disclose data to any unaffiliated third parties. We may from time to time share personal information to our associated partners but will inform you in advance. Should you wish to prevent your personal information from being shared you may write to wearaboutz™ Ltd stating your objections. Your statutory rights will not be affected.

In the event that wearaboutz™ Ltd is acquired or subject to a merger we reserve the right to transfer personal data as part of the transaction. 

All Customers (both ‘Pay as You Track’ and Mywearaboutz™ subscribers) will be asked to provide name, address including full postcode, country of residence, date of birth, contact mobile and landline telephone numbers, email addresses and payment method such as credit or debit card details. This information is necessary to activate all wearaboutz™ services. Should customers personal details change at any time during their membership they are responsible for notifying wearaboutz™ as soon as possible so we may update their account. Any other information we receive about customers such as credit details will be kept under our strict confidentiality guidelines and will be used by wearaboutz™ in order to consider individual applications only.

Whilst utilising our on going services wearaboutz™ and our associated contractors will retain tracking information and may collect GPS co-ordinates and location fixes of individual devices and hold this information on our secure servers. 

All registered wearaboutz™ users may from time to time receive wearaboutz™ newsletters, new product information, special and promotional offers and customer surveys via email, text message or via post. We reserve the right to keep our customers informed with such correspondence and therefore do not encourage customers to unsubscribe from such services. 

A customer’s personal information will be retained for as long as they subscribe to our various interactive services or continue to use wearaboutz™ products, or for any period of dispute between the two parties, namely wearaboutz™ Ltd (and it’s affiliates) and the customer. 

Wearaboutz will continuously keep track of customer accounts including subscription records, payment history, location analysis and log activity. Location information will be monitored, stored and removed periodically, at our sole discretion.

We may also record communication made between the customer and our 24 hour Customer Response Team. This information will be used by wearaboutz™ Ltd to improve our ongoing services.       

Child Security

We employ a very strict policy with regard to child safety and security. Customers must be over the age of 18 to purchase and subscribe to the mywearaboutz™ services. Whilst those under the age of 18 may carry and use a wearaboutz™ device, they may only do so under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian. 

All users of the wearaboutz™ service whether ‘Pay as You Track’ or Mywearaboutz™ subscribers will be asked to provide DOB information and must be the registered holder of a credit or debit card before authorisation will be granted.

At Wearaboutz we take all possible duty of care to protect our customers but we cannot and will not be held responsible for intentional misuse or fraudulent online applications. In any event we reserve the right to cancel activity or place a hold on such an account and conduct an internal investigation.   We also reserve the right to disclose information in certain circumstances as requested for legal purpose or to satisfy the law.

Mywearaboutz™ Communities

By utilising the mywearaboutz™ online communities and social networking platforms you chose to knowingly disclose personal information, post reviews, exchange personal location data or allow others to see your tracking logs.  By choosing to make such personal information public you automatically consent to such and are therefore not covered by or subject to the wearaboutz™ privacy policy.
